TAPI ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/t/tapi.htm ) -
Short for Telephony Application Programming Interface, TAPI is a standard developed by Microsoft, Intel, and other companies. TAPI helps enable a PC to support a broad range of communications devices, for example, support for a MODEM.

* Virus:
Google accidentally sends out Kama Sutra worm
infoworld.com -- Google Inc. accidentally sent out e-mail containing a mass mailing worm to about 50,000 members of an e-mail discussion list focused on its Google Video Blog, the company said Tuesday.
* Security:
Alarm Raised for Critical Broadcom Wi-Fi Driver Flaw
news.yahoo.com -- Computer security analysts are raising the alarm for a critical vulnerability in the Broadcom wireless driver embedded in PCs from HP, Dell, Gateway and eMachines.
Microsoft to release six Windows security updates
infoworld.com -- Microsoft Corp. will release six groups of security patches next Tuesday, fixing flaws in its Windows operating system.
Attackers dig into zero-day flaw
news.com.com -- An "extremely critical" vulnerability has been discovered in Microsoft's XML Core Services, according to several security companies.
Vulnerability in Microsoft XML Control
betanews.com -- The latest twist on a redirection vulnerability believed first spotted in one of the controls in Microsoft XML Core Services in December 2001, was uncovered by Microsoft Security over the weekend, and reported to US-CERT.
* Privacy:
Online scams target the wealthy
news.bbc.co.uk -- High-income earners are being preferentially targeted by online "phishing" scams, research has shown.
Online banking fraud rises fast
news.bbc.co.uk -- A surge in "phishing" in the first half of 2006 has produced a sharp rise in the amount of money being lost to online banking fraud.
Adware may be lurking in video on MySpace
news.com.com -- Several MySpace pages offer what appear to be YouTube videos that trigger the installation of adware when played, a security company has warned.

As mentioned earlier this week in the Computer Hope's news section, Popular Science has posted their list of best of what's new for the year 2006. This is a fantastic web page and something we highly recommend visiting. The page features the most innovative and helpful products of the year in automotive, aviation, space, computing, engineering, gadgets, home entertainment, home tech, personal health, and recreation categories. Each category features a list of innovative products that have a breif description, pictures, and most also have short video clips featuring the products.

We also recently came across Splice, a great site that allows users to mashup and mix sounds to create your own personalized songs online. In addition to being able to create your own work the site also allows you to listen and play around with other members music. This is a great site for any music enthusiast or anyone who has wanted to play around with creating a unique song.

We also happen to sumble across PWX speedball, small adhesive rolling wheels that can be attached on the bottom of a laptop. These would be fantastic for any user or laptop that needs to be frequently moved or rotated.

Finally, this week we thought we would also mention a great site called Farecast. Although the site is currently in beta this site offers an extensive airfare and flight search to find predictions of ticket prices fast and easy. This site would be an invaluable tool for those of you who frequently fly.
