news.zdnet.com -- Microsoft on Tuesday provided fixes for eight flaws related to Windows, including three that could be used to compromise a system without any user interaction.

Microsoft offers businesses a security test drive
news.zdnet.com -- Microsoft on Tuesday released a public test version of Forefront Client Security, a new product to protect business computers against malicious code attacks.

* Privacy:

Court Shuts Down Alleged Spyware Operation
pcworld.com -- A U.S. district court has shut down a Web operation that is accused of secretly loading spyware and other malevolent software onto millions of computers after promising users free screen savers and video files, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission said on Monday.

We recently came across BumbTop, a software program that is currently only a prototype that brings a whole new method of organizing and displaying icons on a desktop. The above link includes several different types of videos that demonstrate how BumbTop works as well as additional information about this interesting idea.
