Passphrase ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/p/passphra.htm ) -
Similar to a password, a passphrase is a secret phrase that helps protect accounts, files, folders and any other confidential information. Passphrases contain spaces, are generally several words, and usually also contain numeric characters. Because of the length of most passphrases they are considered safer than passwords. For example: "2 be or not 2 be?" is an example of a passphrase.

MySpace worm exploits QuickTime feature
infoworld.com -- The social networking site MySpace.com is under what one computer security analyst calls an "amazingly virulent" attack caused by a worm that steals log-in credentials and spreads spam that promotes adware sites.

Bug Opens Word to Attack
pcworld.com -- There's now one more reason to be careful about opening Microsoft Office attachments. Microsoft has warned of a new, unpatched memory corruption error in the word processor, saying it is investigating reports of "limited" attacks that exploit the problem.

* Privacy:

Trojan spreading mobile spyware
virusbtn.com -- A new variant of the MultiDropper trojan targeting Symbian smartphones has included amongst its payload a 'legitimate' commercial phone spying application, according to researchers at McAfee. The discovery is seen as a sign of a worrying new trend, as smartphones begin carrying increasingly sensitive personal data and even allow access to bank accounts in some systems.

Washington uses new spyware law, gets $1 million settlement
arstechnica.com -- California-based security company eEye Digital Security has unveiled a new site devoted to tracking zero-day vulnerabilities. The Zero-Day Tracker is designed to give users, IT administrators, and security researchers a greater awareness of unpatched vulnerabilities so they can take necessary risk-mitigation measures until the vulnerability is patched.
