Ping Pong ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/p/pingpong.htm ) -
Communication between network devices allowing each computer to know if the opposite end is still present and available. The ping is the transmission of the packet to the opposite computer and the pong is the response from the other computer.
Users connected through an IRC client can commonly see this action take place while connected to an IRC network.

computerworld.com -- The Rinbot worm continues to pester and plague companies, several security organizations said, even as Symantec Corp. declared that its honeypot network had captured traffic showing that a botnet was spreading the malware.
Microsoft fails second virus test

Bagle Worm Still Swarming over the Net

Worm targets Solaris telnet bug
news.com.com -- A computer worm is using a recently disclosed flaw in Sun Microsystems' operating system to propagate, experts have warned.

computerworld.com -- A bug in Windows Vista's built-in antipiracy technology is telling some users that they need to reactivate the operating system after they install new device drivers or run newly installed software.

Phishing Sites Explode on the Web
news.yahoo.com -- Think the new built-in phishing filters in Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 will protect your private data? Think again. The number of sites devoted to phishing skyrocketed last year, and the number of Americans taken in by phishing schemes has nearly doubled. In November 2006, the last month for which data is available, the Anti-Phishing Working Group found 37,439 new sites, up an astounding 709 percent from the 4630 sites in November of 2005.
