http://www.crossloop.com/
This week we came across CrossLoop, a great free utility for Microsoft Windows users that allows users to easily share files with friends and family over a network and/or the Internet without having to open ports on your router or having to adjust your firewall. Although the program is currently in beta this looks to be a great solution for users who have wanted to share files but have encountered difficulties because of security and network settings.

Finally, we also recently came across Filehippo.com Update Checker. This is a great small easy to run utility that quickly allows you to scan your computer for any programs you have installed that require updates.
