1. Also known as the root, admin or administrator, Avatar is a term used to describe a super
user in a Unix environment once logged on this user is capable of going anywhere and doing
anything on the computer.
2. Icon or digital image used to represent ones self in an on-line discussion such as a chat
room or a message board.
