Honey pot ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/h/honeypot.htm ) -
Term used to describe a computer or network setup with the purpose of attracting a computer
hacker. These computers allow a system administrator or security expert to analyze how a
computer hacker may attempt to hack a network without risking the threat to their own
network. By analyzing this the system administrator or security expert can then implement the
needed security into their network making it more secure.

Note: Additional information and examples can be found on the above link.

The Extreme Ultraviolet LLC, a joint development effort charged with developing
next-generation chip-manufacturing technology, recently built its first chip-manufacturing
machine using the extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) process.

* Virus:
CNET: antivirus companies warned PC users Tuesday that future Macromedia Flash movies could
carry malicious viruses and worms.

The caution came after an unknown virus writer sent just such an infectious program to U.K.
antivirus company Sophos. Dubbed SWF/LFM-926, the new program does little but infect Flash
files on a PC when the movie is played.

Register: Virus authors have created what is believed to be the first malicious code to
targets Microsoft's .Net web services architecture.

The Donut virus is written primarily in Win32 assembly and some MSIL (Microsoft Intermediate
Language), infects other .NET executables using the .EXE extension. Donut was sent to
antivirus vendors by its author, who is believed to be a Czech member of the 29/A virus
writing group.
