IDE ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/i/ide.htm ) -
Short for Integrated Drive Electronics (IBM Disc Electronics), IDE is a standard for PC hard drive interfaces. IDE is different from the Small Computer Systems Interface (SCSI) and Enhanced Small Device Interface (ESDI) because its controllers are on each drive, meaning the drive can connect directly to the motherboard. IDE and its updated successor, Enhanced IDE (EIDE), are the most common drive interfaces found in IBM compatible computers.

We would like to thank everyone who has provided input about Issue 73 of our Newsletter and fun links on the Internet. Overall it appears that everyone enjoyed the fun links and we found it interesting that a good percentage of individuals who e-mailed us could also not view Macromedia Flash files for various reasons. In the future when we post additional fun links we will try to get a better selection of links.
