1. Short for On Screen Display, OSD is a menu displayed on various devices that displays options used to adjust the display or other options that may be available to that device.
2. Short for Open Source Definition, OSD is an agreement for distributing, using and modifying open source code.

* Virus:
- IOL: Sydney - Millions of computers worldwide have been infected this week by a fast-replicating virus called Bugbear and security experts warned on Friday that the threat was still accelerating.
* Security:
- News Interactive: MICROSOFT disclosed several security flaws today, including "critical" problems in many versions of its Windows operating system.
* Privacy: No new privacy news this week.
