Negate ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/n/negate.htm ) -
Term used to describe the process of removing or denying access to a process or command. Negate is also a commonly used command on network routers and operating systems to permanently delete a line from the configuration or command line.

Top News Story: AltaVista searches for new image
* CNET: In the current world of search engines, less is more--and AltaVista is angling for both.
The struggling company is trying to recapture its former glory as a search engine heavyweight with a newly redesigned Web site, featuring a sleek, spare look that takes a cue from current search champ Google. The new site is scheduled to launch Tuesday.

- Internetnews.com: If you're using early copies of the Mozilla open-source Web browser, chances are your PC is vulnerable to attacks via a half-dozen security holes.
Pre-version 1.0 rollouts of the alternative browser project, which is backed by AOL-Time Warner's Netscape unit, contain about a half-dozen vulnerabilities.
