* Virus:
story.news.yahoo.com -- A fast-spreading, virus-like infection dramatically slowed Internet traffic Saturday, overwhelming the world's digital pipelines and interfering with Web browsing and e-mail delivery.
* Security: No new security news this week.
* Privacy:
wired.com -- It's a browser toolbar that some swear is doing "drive-by downloads" -- installing itself without users' permission -- then taking over their systems and making it impossible to uninstall.

4. What's new at Computer Hope this week?
____________________________________________________________
* With the new month of February, Computer Hope has posted its new monthly Poll - "What do you use the computer for?" Quiz - "Which of the following is the directory commonly used to store a website?" and tip - "Microsoft Windows".
- Computer Hope has completed several new behind the scene scripts for its website, one of these is our new News Script. We are very excited to have this script finally posted and although users do not utilize this script this will allow Computer Hope to have a news section that is frequently updated at least daily instead of weekly. This means that our users can get up to date news and related computer information daily or as often as they need to.
- Unfortunately we are still running into some minor issues that we are still trying to resolve with our new search engine, therefore the new search engine will not be posted until tomorrow night (February 3, 2003 -- 10:00PM MST).

http://www.d-skin.com
This week we came across a product known as 'd_skin', which is a thin layer of plastic that snaps onto a CD to provide the sensitive side of a CD from scratches. Unlike other products the d_skin stays on even when it is in use, which is great for those of us who have CD's we use often and tend to neglect.
