Is After Dark still available and if so where can I get it?
Computer Hope and it's associates no longer have any of the After Dark software packages. If you are interested in purchasing or obtaining any of the After Dark series and are aware that it is only compatible with Windows 95, Windows 98, and the Macintosh (as stated above and below) we suggest you see document CH000614 for additional information about how to obtain old and out-of-date software. If you're simply interested in the flying toasters portion of the screen saver there has been a remake of this screen saver. Additional information is found on the below section.
I am unable to get After Dark to work in Windows NT, 2000, XP, Vista, and/or OS X.
None of the After Dark series are compatible with Microsoft Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP. These software packages were designed for Windows 95, Windows 98, and Macintosh and can only properly work in these operating systems. Unable to receive faxes or calls on computer when running After Dark.
When running After Dark other software utilities such as Fax Works, Comm Central, or Microsoft Fax may fail to receive Fax messages or voice messages. There is no other resolution to this issue other than disabling After Dark from running when expecting Faxes or voice messages.
Is there any other similar screen savers out there?
The closest screen saver we've been able to find to this classic screen saver is the flying toasters remake screen saver it can be found here. This screen saver is compatible with all the latest Windows operating systems as well as available for the Apple Mac OS X. |
