Windows 7 Content View

Content View is a new feature for Windows 7. It is viewed when you type a keyword into the Windows Search box.

  1. Click the Start Orb.
  2. Type the name of the file or document you are looking for into the Windows Search box. See image below.
  3. When you click see more results, it brings up the new Content View, which highlights the keywords. Doing this lets you see all documents containing the keywords on your computer.
  4. Click the search box in the upper-right corner of the Content View screen to narrow the search.
  5. The four filter options include: Kind, Date Modified, type, and Size. You can also type in a custom filter, such as Author to narrow it down even further.
