Delete one word at a time

Green delete key on keyboard.

In most Windows programs, you can delete one full word at a time rather than each character individually. To do so, first move the cursor to the end of the word you want to remove. Then, press and hold the Ctrl key, and then press the Backspace key.

If you are on a Mac, this keyboard shortcut is a bit different. To erase an entire word in macOS, press and hold the Option key, and then press the Delete key.
