The vol command displays the volume information of a designated drive.

Vol syntax
Displays the disk volume label and serial number, if they exist.
VOL [drive:]
Vol examples
vol c:
Display the volume of drive c: as shown in the example below.
Volume in drive C has no label. Volume Serial Number is 1C24-AB20
