Developed in 2006 by GZ Systems, PureVPN provides VPN (virtual private network) services for all major operating systems. The company has over 6,500 servers spanning 78 countries as of January 2022. Because so many locations are offered, the app can automatically choose a server based on your preferences. Selecting a mode, such as streaming or file transfer mode, allows PureVPN to optimize your server location for these tasks. PureVPN also allows up to 10 devices to use the service simultaneously.

PureVPN's paid plans are available for 1-month, 1-year, or 2-year subscriptions. Although a price-reduced trial is offered, there is no free version of this VPN available.

What features does PureVPN have?

  • No-log certification - PureVPN claims to "never monitor, store, or share your private information with anybody."
  • Split tunneling - Allows you use your local network while encrypting Internet activity. By doing this, you can use foreign server locations and access local services.
  • Internet kill switch - Blocks your device from connecting to the Internet when the VPN disconnects or encounters a problem. This feature prevents unwanted data from leaking.
