Go to the browser options and look for something that looks like clear history. It should bring up (or be around) more buttons regarding clearing the cache, browser history and cookies. Also, go to the RUN box and type in:

    del "%temp%\*"

Here's how I do it:  open internet explorer.  On upper left toolbar, click on "Tools".  Click on "Internet Options" (on bottom), Click on "Delete" and go from there.

you may be using firefox, if so then clearing your recent history is by "Ctrl + Shift + Del" while your on firefox, then select "Everything" in "Time range to clear" then hit "Clear Now" button.
        that's all!

OR another good solution is by using Ccleaner, download and install then hit "Run cleaner" that will clear all your temporary files for all browsers and other things you've done.

Keep in mind these are not thorough cleaning procedures...
They will get rid of most of your browsing history but that's about it...
Remnants will still be there and depending on how savvy your IT people are items can still be retrieved  ...
You may want to inquire on what exactly the security policies of the company are and consider just wiping the entire drive.

Course since you haven't checked back in 6 days perhaps you have found a solution.
