Hi .Can someone please help me out. I have a Lacie external hard drive 3.5. When I plug the device into my laptop and other laptops it wont auto play and I can't access the files through "My Computer". The computer recognises the drive, however I just get a message saying the drive needs formatting before I can use it. There are important files on this drive which I really need to access. Any help appreciated.
....oh by the way the drive is getting power and it sounds normal.
