Computer recognizes iPod touch as camera
« on: April 12, 2010, 06:42:08 PM »
Whenever i plugin my ipod it appears as a camera and won't show up in "my computer" under hard drives or devices with removable storage. I"m running windows xp and I just installed service pack 3, so i'm assuming my usb drivers are updated. Any suggestions?

Your iPod Touch will be recognized as a camera if you have images in the photo gallery.
It will not show up in My Computer as a removable storage device.
You must use iTunes to access it.

I assume you're a new Apple user?

True. Also when iTunes updates it will block SharePod so you have to wait a few days for the developer to figure out the new block and release the new version.

But for backing up your music it's about the fastest thing I've found.
