    Hi
     My aspire 1360 will not start the power light is on, the DVD drive starts, can't hear the fans running just a black screen will not even enter bios or post. Any ideas please

      Before this problem occured, did you notice any blurring on the screen? Did the screen just go black while you were using it, perhaps?

      An old laptop of mine had this problem too. Still haven't figured out the exact cause, aside from the large possibility it's motherboard related.

        Not belittling at all, but have you tried holding the FN Key and pressing the monitor switch function key. Its located along the top row of F keys, usually F5-F8. I've seen that mess my wife up several times. ;D

          I don't think its screen related I think it is a motherboard problem and motherboards are my weakest point with computers. Thanks for taking the time to reply
