    Hi there...

A more simple solution may be available to you.

Do you use Firefox? if you do I recommend you uninstall your 'free download manager' and that you get an addon for firefox called 'DownThemAll!'

    http://www.downthemall.net/

This works directly inside Firefox and I use it all the time because it gives me all the things i need in a download manager, and it is very lightweight.

if you aren't using firefox, give it a try and see for yourself.

+1 for DownloadThemAll!.  IIRC, it also lets you download embedded videos, which is a very nice feature to have.

First, the OP never said what browser he is using.  IE is probably a good guess, but what version?  And is it supported by his download manager program?

BTW, I use Firefox and it's download manager works fine.

He or she is using Free Download Manager which is compatible with both IE and Firefox (and stand-alone).

I thing your Download Manager is not proper install in your system. firstly, you need to check ADD/remove panel in control panel. There you can check or find that it properly install or not. If You not find Add/ remove panel. Then you can re- install it again. It support Firefox better than IE.
