CMOS: check sum error defaults loaded?
« on: July 17, 2005, 04:52:58 PM »
When I start my computer it goes throught the setup and memory check, then I get the "CMOS: check sum error/defaults loaded." The thing is it wont allow my keyboard or mouse to operate, it's as if no power at all is going to either, no lights on keyboard, nothing. It also makes the fast clicking noise it makes when doing the memory check. I hope someone can help me. :'( :-/

Your CMOS battery may be depleted. Replace it.

See This article for more information on the CMOS checksum error.
