Via high definition audio uninstalled!

Please help, i ignorantly uninstalled the via high definition audio in the device manager, now my pc plays no sound anymore. Can someone help me get it back under device manager. I can't see it anymore there thanks for your help

im actually uninstalling the driver of that device but unknowingly i'm not in the drivers tab and uninstalled the device itself, that is the via high definition audio device. Even after rebooting i do not see it anymore under device manager. What should i do to restore it back?

Device Manger should recognize it on reboot and rebuild the hw profile, so I'm a bit surprised that isn't happening. You might go ahead and reinstall the driver.

is it possible to install the driver when the device is not present? please tell me how? just a beginner please bare with me

Is this a sound card or onboard sound chip ?

The device IS present (physically). Just download and install the driver.
