RAMs and electricity, and plain forgetfulness
    « on: July 02, 2010, 01:16:47 AM »
I know when installing a RAM, you should first (of course) turn the computer off and unplug it before anything else to avoid damaging the memory module or the socket.

What will specifically happen to the RAM if you forgot to unplug the computer?

Probably nothing. As far as I know the RAM modules aren't powered whilst the computer is off.
