    Help: Toshiba Satellite A305

    i have this TOSHIBA SATELLITE A305 laptop and when i turn it on i get a black screen.and says there is no operating.so here is what i did and no luck....

    i got a windows xp untouched from here burn slow and put on dvd drive and nothing happens.
    i restart the laptop
    changed the bios settings to boot dvd first and turn off some stuff
    and change back to defult setting in bios
    i even bought a new hard drive and same thing
    downloaded hdd regenerator and read the disk so its no the dvd drive

    any ideas that can help me with this problem?

    If you were not sure if its a HD that's causing your laptop to behave like that then its an ill adviced moved. But having to afford to buy one must made you think that consulting first maybe in the computer shop where you bought your HD is the best move concerning your laptop problem. Which means there might be no HD problem in the first place. And having to pay for the repair service might come cheaper than buying a HD.
