    computer wont start

    went to turn on the computer the sarvo and the fans would start but nothing else, help??

        1x 120 Gb seagate barracude 7200rpm firmware 3.06 slave
        avg free virus protection
        spectek ram 1 x 512mb 2700mhz DDR PI64M648HHJ
        seasonic 200w power supply
        no 'real' microsoft CD
        i have done a full back up  few weeks ago of both HDD onto an external HDD for all setting for windows but since the BIOS wont even start i cant do a reinstal from my back up... any other info needed? please ask
        HELP ME PLEASE

        What is new since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

          the day before i went to start it up again... monday night it was fully functional, wednesday night it wasn't

            with no new hw, sw and no virus's showed up in my last scan which was last week

              Is this the same computer that you have the "hardware" post on that is having the RAM issue?truenorth

              Based on the limited information you've provided, it's impossible to provide any type of intelligent diagnosis. Test all hw (ram, video card, etc).

                yes truenorth it is... once the computer wouldn't start with two ram cards i gave up on that and just continued with the origional card in the same slot as it first was...
