    cmos settings wrong

    i have a problem later with my pc, a message pop up when i open it, "cmos settings wrong".
    i already reformat it and buy new cmos battery.

    i can use my pc. but the only problem is everytime i open my pc this message show. what should i do? thanks in advance ???

    Replace the battery...again
    Ive seen them dead out of the package....

      actually i have 2 cmos batt and as you said earlier i replace my battery again, shutdown my pc and turn on again and still the message is the same.

      what should i do? thanks again for the advise sir. :-\

      Have you tried resetting defaults?

        huh? i thought that if you remove and change the battery it will automatically default? am i right??

        Only if all stored power is released and the machine is unplugged...
        This is done by hitting the power button 4 or 5 times after following the above.
