Do you get the same error when loading other websites other than Yahoo webmail? If so, then you may want to your test your local area network connection for any issue. Since your iphone is working and it uses the Wi-Fi connection on your router, there is no problem with your router or internet connectivity.
Try the following
Go to Start->Run and type "
cmd" without double quotes to launch DOS shell. Next, type ping
yahoo.com. You should be getting a similar kind of response like the following
Reply from 98.137.149.56: bytes=32 time=184ms TTL=51
Reply from 98.137.149.56: bytes=32 time=185ms TTL=51

If it shows otherwise, then check
1. Your network cable to make sure both end are connected properly.
2. Go to Start -> Settings ->Control Panel ->Network Connection and make sure the NIC is enabled.
3. Remove your network card from your desktop PC and reseat it properly.
