Dell D505 won't cut on

Hi we just purchased a used Dell D505 used. It was on and running at the time we purchased it but we go it home and it won't even cut on.


Whenever I push the power button, lights come on and then a light that has an "a" start flashing and then it just cuts off.

I really don't know anything about computers so if you could maybe give me some advice or some steps to get it up and running that would be great. I mean, it worked for someone else at least and hour ago.

Is the seller 1. a person you can go back to? 2. A person that you trust?

Further questions:

3. Do you have a written receipt for the money that you paid?

4. Is the seller a company or a private individual?

5. Are you trying to run it on battery or AC?
