How can I find out the name of the sound card that is in my computer?  I tried a few things, but to no avail.  I imagine that this should be simple, but I can't get it.  I'd appreciate your help.

What are things you have tried so far? To avoid "Done that already". Perhaps you could also specify the Machine type/brand/model. Are you looking for any driver update, installer for your certain card?

1) Look in Device Manager
2) Download and run a third party utility such as Everest or Belarc Advisor
3) Open the case and look at the card
