Cannot find hard drive when reinstalling XP
« on: January 02, 2011, 03:36:21 PM »
I'll try to explain my situation the best i can.

A few weeks ago my laptop got a virus and after some works i got it to work fine again. I decided update the laptop's service pack. After installing it the laptop will not load as a it says "!!0xc0000034!! and because of this you cannot not access anything. From looking online the main advice is to reinstall the operating system. I am trying to do this with a XP installation CD but once it loads it tell me it cannot find a hard disk drive.

How solve this without being able to load the laptop fully?

Any help would be great and i am willing to answer questions in needed.

Thanks for reading,

Alex

If it's SATA drive, you need to get a driver for it.
