monitor screen rotates 90 degrees
« on: August 10, 2005, 08:26:03 AM »
The monitor screen rotates 90 degrees when exiting from Call of Duty Demo. This means the system tray ends up running up the right hand side of the screen making it very difficult to even use the mouse to shut down.

I have no easy way to rectify this and have to restore a registry backup to get the screen upright again. Resetting the computer does not cure the problem.

Can anyone help me find a solution please.

Thanks Raptor I've dowloaded the latest video drivers and this appears to have done the trick.

Many thanks

You should always keep up to date with videocard drivers, but, this issue could have been solved if you had done the following as well:

1. Right click on the Desktop
2. Properties
3. Settings tab
4. Advanced
5. Search for a tilt tab or something similiar. I only have ATI videocards.

My screen rotated in random directions with an old packard bell, shortly after the mother board fried.
