    Dual partition naming convention

    I have two Vista partitions. The OS selection screen shows both as "Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium".

    Is there a way to rename these to more easily identify which partition is which?

      I found the partition name in boot.ini

      vista does not have boot.ini, I thought.

        You're correct.

        At the time I was troubleshooting, I was at work on an XP machine and totally forgot about vista not having boot.ini - I eventually just downloaded EasyBCD. Worked like a charm!
