    Overcolcking dram and consenquences

    How is it that overclocking dram voltage can fry a cpu? Ive got a i7 920 and a asus p6tv2 with buffalo firestix 1600, Im downclocking it to 1066 at 1.64v to gert it to run stable. "Would I benifit from 1600? and is it risky to do the 2.1v?
