I plugged in a Targus Universal 33-in-1 card reader/writer with a microSDHC card from my LG cell phone camera to upload pictures and the computer continues to shut down, even though I have removed the reader. Does not stay on long enough for the icons to appear.  Continually shuts down.

Hello darjoy and welcome to the computerhope forum.

Have you tried to start your computer using the "F8" key.
F8 is the key you use to start a computer in safe mode.

Just in case you are not familiar with the process:
Start your computer from the off position and tap the F8 key during the start up procedure.

During the loading of Windows at some point it should change to a screen giving you several options.
One of the options is to "Start computer in safe mode."
Select this option using your up/down arrow keys and press enter.

If that is successful you can explore your options to do a system restore if needed.
It takes 15 years to become an overnight success & Windows 10 will add another 10 years to it.
