words in news letters are showing symbols

Just curious but would like to fix this problem if possible. - sometimes in a news letter some of the words come out with symbols mixed in with letters.  Like so-          €œstuff”.

Does anyone know why, and what can I do about this mumble jumble???

Maybe it is Unicode.

Some web sites use Chinese and other fonts that need Unicode. If your browser does not get it right, you get symbol soup.

Hmm, I don't remember. My PC is just English, but I can get to sites with Unicode. It is in my browser. Look at this:

If you do not see the proper eastern language symbols, your browser does not have the proper Unicode stuff.
On the bove site look for :

Click on it and follow the guidelines given.
