CD/DVD door
« on: July 13, 2011, 11:54:50 AM »
I have a Gateway MX6421. The CD/DVD door will not eject. I tried pressing the button and using the control panel to open, neither work. Anyone know an easy fix, or does it need to be sent out for repair?

There should be a little hole in the front of the cd drive. Insert a paper clip into that hole and push until the cd door opens

you can also open by using a screwdriver or something else that's pretty thin.
I would not on any of my machines.

His advice so far in any topic can be safely ignored...
