    Windows will not boot from an external HDD...this is by design.

    All linux distros will boot from an external HDD, I want to add. (along with WinPE and BartPE, which are technically windows versions.)

      CAN I USE INSTEAD MY EXTERNAL DRIVE TO INSTALL WINDOWS XP, IS IT POSSIBLE...?MAYBE MY HARD DRIVE IS DAMAGED
