fresh xp install computer sleep disabled

i recently downgraded my acer aspire one netbook from windows 7 starter to windows xp it boots faster and loads programs faster but i have just one problem the sleep and hibernate options are disabled i tried looking in the power options control panel but the hibernate option is missing and my only option for closing the lid is stay on  pls help

That netbook doesn't support WinXP, probably other things aren't working either.  Go back to Win7 & get rid of McAfeeŽ Internet Security Suite Trial.  That's what was slowing you down.
