    Sound is pulsing
    « on: August 21, 2011, 12:39:53 PM »
When I play movies on my computer, the video is slow and the sound is pulsing.  Everything worked a few days ago.  My computer is new and has plenty of memory, Windows 7 and Realtek digital video output.

The movies are ones I've downloaded from the Internet and they have all worked fine before now.  I'm defragging my hard drive now.  The VLC player works fine, but I still have the problem with my windows player.  The hard disk defragged fine.

Even the sound of UTube videos is pulsing and the video is jumpy!

They wouldn't hear anything at all in safe mode since safe mode only loads generic drivers...

          Hi,

Uninstall audio drivers completely and then install the driver that is working.

          1. Click Start, type Device Manager in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER.

          2. In the Device Manager dialog box, expand Sound, video, and game controllers.

          3. Locate the audio device that was included with the computer.

          3. Right-click the device, and then click Properties.

          4. Click the Driver tab, and then click Uninstall.

          5. Place a check mark next to"Delete the Driver Software for this device" check box, and then click OK.

          6. Install the driver that is working.

          7. Restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

          Hope this helps
