This is on my self built desktop listed last in my specs (Intel D845GVSR, ect.)
I keep getting these errors in the form of an icon on my desktop. They keep adding up and I keep sending them to recycle bin. I've tried un-install/re-installing Java with the latest version with no joy. My uncle uses this machine and rarely does anything other than Yahoo Mail and Pogo games.
The icons are always the same other than the last 4 digits (numeric) in this sequence: 'hs_err_pidxxxx'.
Attached is the message of the latest, 'hs_err_pid3668'
What's going on here and what do I do now?
Also, this machine runs Malwarebytes and MSE antivirus (both up-to-date, scans = "no-infection")
Other than this Java issue the machine runs fine.
Should I be posting this thread in the malware section?

As always, thanks for any help!!!

Have you tried to update or reload Java?

Yes.

I've tried un-install/re-installing Java with the latest version with no joy.
No update was available since I already have the latest version of Java installed.
Un-install/installed Java with the same results also.

I'm not sure about this, but if I remember right, my uncle was having this same issue when he used my Toshiba laptop for a few days (last month). So maybe it's caused by some site he is accessing. I don't know (since I don't know how to read the log file) That's why I posted the logfile on here.

Hope this helps some.  ??? What other info do I need to post?

Thanks Geek-9pm  :)

Well, I would go for the brute force method.
Scan the PC with a bootblack Anti-Virus. program.
Bit defender is FREE and it works good.
http://www.bitdefender.com/support/How-to-create-a-BitDefender-Rescue-CD-627.html
Why? Recently I have serviced two  laptops tart had some kind of infection that got by then installed protection. Only the bookable CD got rid of the infection.

Besides the link above, other sites offer similar products. The link above is trusted.

Okay. but I just tried some attempts to correct this issue (Uninstalled Java 6.u26, ran CC Cleaner registry scan/clean, ran IObit ASC, installed Java 6.u27 (which is not available from Java yet. I got it from Major Geeks. Go figure... ???).
My uncle uses this machine, and has been getting these errors at least every 2 days. And since I'm not sure how he's getting them, I'm going to let him do his thing until an error comes up again. If that happens, at that point I'll try your solution and post the results here.
Thanks Geek-9pm!!!

My uncle still got a fatal error log today using java 6.27

Try here http://games-forum.pogo.com/viewtopic.php?f=110&t=26837&p=508336&hilit=fatal+java+errors&sid=cddcdda9a818efcac78b878c5a3a4f6c#p508336
Good information, and certainly specific to my issue. Thanks jason2074!
But there is question as to any solution posted actually being a fix.

Even ArticFoxxy no longer gets the error logs but is having Java crash problems with 6.24 and after disabling logging:

I was getting those error logs a while ago and I changed the settings I mentioned and the log files stopped appearing. I still get the odd java crash, but I don't get the files on my desktop. I figured I'd solved the issue... guess maybe I was just lucky. Maybe it stopped on its own, or maybe whatever was causing it was resolved. Either way, happy coincidence.

Next I'm going to try installing the new Java 7 and see what happens. I've been running java 7 on my laptop for a couple of days and have had no issues.
I'll post the results here if that cures this issue/ or if not.

Till then, thanks again!

What operating system does that PC is using? You could also directly relay the errors on Pogo Forums .

I don't recall what the default setting is under advanced - java console, but mine is set to hide console. I don't know any other thing I may have changed to get those logs from appearing.

Still having a problem with any Java newer than v6 update 27 when trying to play Pogo games. I've posted the error info on Pogo but got no response.
Operating system is XP home SP3 v5.1.2600

Attached is my latest error log.
Any further advice to fix this?

Try this link http://www.java.com/en/download/help/pogo.xml
Also, I've read a while back from a user saying, removed his JRE and instead using the JDK. http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/techinfo.xml

The JDK needs more Disk space as it contains the JRE along with various development tools
