many power supply has two or more power cable for Hard Disk Drive (HDD) and/or Optical Disk Drive (ODD).
try another Power cable for your HDD

I've got a feeling its an external hard drive, but going on the lack of specific information, i'm not going to offer advice based on a assumption. The OP needs to provide more information.
      11 cheers for binary !

Just a moment; do you connect the HDD while the system is already running?   ::)

I think the suggestion of more info was the best...

I wondered that myself; if so, worst case is 1 dead hard drive and 2 dead motherboards...

as amritpalpathak post, PC can run with Live Disk.

            many reasons here.

1- check your data cable (SATA/IDE) of HDD. un-plug data cable but plug power one. if your system start normally, the problem is your data cable. so, check your data cable and data port on Mother Board.
2- check power cable of HDD. try another power cable
3- plug data and power cable to HDD, but do not install it in the case. hold it in your hand carefully and from its side. when you power on, if it shuddering for seconds, your HDD may stile healthy.  if not, your HDD maybe dead.

            Hi

What make and model of hard drive. Some models have over voltage protection that when it is activated shorts the rail  where the fault occurred. If the power supply is outputting the correct voltage you can remove the shorted component and then transfer the data to a new drive.

Hope to hear more information soon

He said that he has tried it on another computer. I presume "samppe haened" means same happened there. For that reason I'm guessing it's the HD if he didn't use the same cables on the other computer. As for the vote, I thought a Hd was a Hard disk, so I didn't vote.
