Disable Group policy or System administrator.
    « on: October 31, 2011, 10:34:39 AM »
My computer was given to me, and it was from a school district.  It has a group policy and i think its restricting a lot of access to things i am trying to download and update on my PC. I am now using it at home and no longer want the group policy or all the restrictions on my PC.  I am running windows 7 enterprise.  I think that if i disable the group policy it might help but I'm not sure.  if anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Best thing and 1st thing to do with a used PC is a clean wipe and a re-install...
