Dual Monitor/Projector not working with laptop
    « on: November 09, 2011, 07:33:58 AM »
I have a Dell E6410 and I can't get a second display to work on it. When I got into the display options and try to detect a second monitor or projector hooked to it, it doesn't detect anything.
The drivers are all updated and I've tried using the function + F8 key to get it to work.
I noticed today that if I'm in the BIOS and I close the lid to the laptop it will display on the projector, but once Windows boots it won't display on the projector no matter what I do.

    Have you already done this?
    Google: E6410 running dual monitors
    http://www.google.com/search?q=E6410+running+dual+monitors&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a

The Dell laptop does not witch to external  monitor unless there is a monitor in place and you have the right drivers installed.
