    Graphics Card problem

    Hello guys.
    I'm in a strange problem with my windows 7, I don't know why it's not compatible with my graphics card. A few months ago the card was working fine, then installed XP, now I have 7 again, the problem is that when I try to install the graphics card driver, after reboot the screen in black (it works fine in safe mode) and I have to uninstall it.
    Windows 7 Ultimate with all updates, x86
    Nvidia GT-440 1GB DDR3
    The driver is compatible with windows 7, it says that even on the CD, so I don't know what's the problem :(
    Forgot to mention, the screen goes black after the windows boots, at the logon screen, don't even see the mouse!
    It's booting fine from XP and Ubuntu, only Seven fails

    If it is a card then power down...
    Remove the card and do a few cold boots...
    Re-install the card and re-boot...have the Win7 Drivers ready when you re-boot.

      Solved, it was a setting in BIOS that was bugged, switched the primary monitor to onboard card and now the graphics card works fine.

      Not sure i get it ...if you switched to onboard graphics that means onboard chip is OK...
      That doesn't fix the graphics card though...

        Yeah, but now you are going to use to onboard graphics card instead of the PCI-Express one. Do as you wish though.
