Forced shut down event log
« on: November 22, 2011, 10:12:33 AM »
Can anyone tell me if in the event logs or anywhere else this sort of activity is made known, it is possible to distinguish between forced shut downs and system failures? So for example...will the events logs reveal anything different for forced shut downs during start up to those where say the power cord was pulled or if the system cut out because it say began to violently overheat?

I am guessing the events logs will show the same thing...and I'm talking about a cheap Sony Viao here running Vista
