Laptop ASUS N53JG HDD problem

I am having a few problems take a look at this picture first

So as you can see it is as if the OS is the main storage but the OS is the back up
so why can i not make the D drive the main storage drive

and why is there 3 Partition's

i did not make these they are factory

Maybe the one who reformat and install Windows 7 in your laptop voluntary partitioned it to 2, C and D drives. Your C drive contains the OS and other program files. Then the D drive is for data and other files.

The extra partition is a system partition and contains boot files. It is a default partition when you install Windows 7.
