Utilizing The Microsoft Management Console, MMC
« on: April 11, 2012, 05:38:58 PM »
Computer Management/Local Users and Groups/Users
When I click Properties for any selected User, I get the following:
The following error occurred while attempting to read the properties for the user:  The Work Station has not been started.

What is the Work Station?  There is no Work Station listed in SERVICES.
How do I get the Work Station?  I can not find any reference to the Work Station.

My OS is Windows XP Pro SP3
Computer: AMD Athlon 64 Processor,  3700+
         2.4 GHz,  2.0 GB RAM
I would appreciate any help you can give me, Thank you in advance, H. Brown

Every XP system I've used has a workstation service. Did you goto start -> run -> services.msc -> press enter. Highlight the first item in the list then press W that should point you near the workstation service. Make sure it's started and automatic.
