Since I am not having any luck finding the the info I need to replace the defective IPMTB-TK MB, I was wondering, if I make make the HDD external, can another PC read it? What I am trying to do, if possible, is to retrieve what is on it.

      Thanks.

Do you have any idea what VT6315N-CE means?  This is on some of the possible MB replacements I found.
What problem would I have If the BIOS is different than what my specs say? Are any BIOS updates done automatically?

Don't fret over the BIOS being an issue...if you replace the MBoard it will have the appropiate BIOS for the MBoard...
No it usually does not need updates.
