I replaced my 40 GB SSD 'C' drive (where Windows 7 64-bit is installed) with a Corsair Force GT 120 GB SSD drive.  I reinstalled Windows 7 64 bit with no problem, updated drivers, security, etc.  However, I no longer see my former 'D' drive 1 TB data hard drive or former 'E' 30 BG SSD drive.  Instead, the 'D' drive is now my DVD/CD burner and the 'E' drive is now my Blu-ray burner.

I'm guessing this has to do with the motherboard / updates.  The motherboard is an Asus Sabertooth 58.

I've installed the driver updates from the Asus website but I'm still seeing a yellow exclamation point next to 'Other Devices' / Marvell 91xx Config ATA Device and I assume this is directly related to my problem?  If I use the Devixce Manager to try and update the Marvell driver software it says none can be located.

I've also searched for new hardware and the 1 TB drive and 30 GB SSD are no where to be seen.

What I want to end up with is:

C drive - Corsair 120 GB drive (all set here)
D drive - My 1 TB data HD
    E drive - My 30 GB SSD
    F drive - DVD/CD burner
    G drive - Blu-ray burner

Can anyone let me know what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks a million in advance, after hours upon hours trying to solve this, I'm at my wits end!

If you go to the Asus website
    http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1366/SABERTOOTH_X58/#download
you will see the Marvell 91XX Controller Beta Driver V1.2.0.1002 under Sata

Thank you!  I just installed the Marvell driver and partial success - the PC now recognizes the 30 GB SSD.  However, no luck with the 1 TB hard drive.  Interestingly, it lists it in the device manager under 'Disk drives' (and I can uninstall/reinstall its driver) but I still can't access files on it, and when I go under 'Start' and then 'Computer' the drive is not there.

I'm probably missing something obvious.  Any ideas?

Could you give us a screenshot of disk management?
Click start and type diskmgmt.msc into the search box and press enter. This will open disk management.

If you're not sure how to take or post a screenshot, follow evilfantasy's instructions here:

Sorry, that is tough to read!  I can type out any parts that you need to see.

The 1TB drive isn't getting a drive letter for some reason. Have you restarted the computer since installing that driver?

If that doesn't work, in disk management right click on the partition.

and choose Change drive letter and paths. Click on the add button. Select Assign the following drive letter. Choose a drive letter from the drop down box and click ok.

I had restarted it with no luck.  But your solution to right click on the partition and assign a drive letter worked perfectly!  Thank you!!!
